I usually do not post reviews on Carly’z Corner, but if I try something or research something and post it, I want it to be of benefit to my fellow bloggers and followers.
So here goes. I heard about $2 Taco Tuesdays at a new restaurant near my home called the “Oak Barrel”. It is located in Valleyview, Ohio, among a cluster of restaurants along Canal Road.
I had wanted to eat there and had an open Tuesday and decided that here is my chance….. and for a $2 Taco, if disappointed the pain won’t be too great!
I have to say that I was very disappointed! The food wasn’t bad, and the service was pleasant. However, the entire time my girls and I were there we had to fan flies away from our food. It was 4:30 in the afternoon and I was sticking to the floor as I got up to leave. And to top it all off….the owner of the restaurant comes over to our table not to ask about how we were enjoying our meal but to say that the game that was being played on a cell phone was too loud and the other guests were complaining. We were one of the 4 tables out of 30 empty that were occupied! Really!!!!
I have to be honest, I do not think that I will go to the Oak Barrel again, even for a $2 taco. 😦
