Rock and Roll Hall of Fame “Rock Week” @ Carlyz Corner

2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame events in Cleveland and Cleveland Rock Week events

Hello friends, followers, fellow bloggers….long time, no hear! I know right!  Sorry for the hiatus, but I have worked on some new adventures.  But I couldn’t let this great free event pass us by!

So when Clevelanders first received the notification that we had won the privilege to have the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in our city we were filled with excitement, because let’s face it, this city was built on rock and roll (cheesy huh?).  Our city would be on the map, known for something other than being “the mistake on the lake”.  However when it was announced that the annual induction ceremonies, with all the glitz and glamour, would not be held in Cleveland but in New York, and every three years in Cleveland, I felt slighted!

I have to admit though that the having the museum in our city does come with some amazing perks.  The addition of this beautiful masterpiece of architectural design to our lakefront makes Voinivich Park a draw to visitors and locals alike. The museum is always abuzz with activity!  So one those activities is……… “CLEVELAND ROCK WEEK“!

What is “Cleveland Rock Week” you ask? This year is our year to host the induction ceremony! We get the red carpet, celebrity guests and  “E” reviews!  So in honor the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, the museum and city have come together to host a week-long celebration of music and other free activities for Cleveland fans.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 30th Annual Induction Ceremony will take place at Cleveland’s historic Public Hall on Saturday, April 18, 2015 and be celebrated with a series of events for fans as part of Cleveland Rock Week.

NEW 2015 Hall of Fame Inductee exhibit: Stories, rare performances and interviews, and incredible items from the 2015 class of Inductees, opens April 11. FREE EVENT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

So if you have a moment this weekend, or sometime during the next week, or if you can attend the Induction Ceremony on April 18, 2015, do so!  It will be a memorable event for you to enjoy for a lifetime!

Just Putting It Out There….National Free Coffee Day!

Carly'z Corner

McDonald's Coffee, McCafe

I know plenty of people who will only drink the coffee that McDonald’soffers.  So, imagine the joy that they expressed when they found out that from Today, September 29, 2014 is National Free Coffee Day , McDonald’s is offering a FREE small cup of coffee.  (Only served during breakfast hours)

Although McDonald’s coffee is not my favorite.  Frankly, if it is FREE….hmmm…I am not letting that opportunity pass me by!!!!

I am partial to Dunkin Donuts
, which is also participating with free coffee today! At their last free coffee event  I had the Iced Coffee with the Cookie Dough Flavoring….and ooooohhhh, was it good!

See, this is how they get you! They sucker you in and give you something free and they’ve got you…hook, line and sinker.  I am convinced, that this, is the process that leads to addiction!!!!

Happy  Frrreeeee Hunting!!!

Gmail Password Leak Update

Why do people use their intelligence in such a negative way?

The Blog

This week, a group of hackers released a list of about 5 million Gmail addresses and passwords. This list was not generated as a result of an exploit of, but since a number of emails on the list matched email addresses associated with accounts, we took steps to protect our users.

We downloaded the list, compared it to our user database, and proactively reset over 100,000 accounts for which the password given in the list matched the password. We also sent email notification of the password reset containing instructions for regaining access to the account. Users who received the email were instructed to follow these steps:

  1. Go to
  2. Click the “Login” button on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link “Lost your password?”
  4. Enter your username.
  5. Click the “Get New Password” button.

In general, it’s very important that passwords be unique for each account. Using the same…

iTunes Festival returns to London!

Here is a great music festival hosted by iTunes… lasts a month long!

Music Row Girl

iTunes thinks of me as a loyal customer, however, not many loyal customers know…

…that iTunes is in the business of music festivals!

I first heard of the iTunes festival 2 years ago and I remember how cool it was to watch it for free using my Apple TV! The festival is 1 month long…not 1 weekend…1 MONTH! 😀

Apple has been in the music business for so long and they weren’t been afraid to make the jump into music festivals! The iTunes Festival began in 2007…believe it or not…and tickets are given away for free to iTunes users through a contest!

As I mentioned…you can stream the performances for free on your iTunes music store or on your Apple TV! That’s certainly cheaper than a plane ticket to London! HAHA

London has been the host-city for the festival, although it was brought to the US in 2014 with performances…
