Just Putting It Out There……Chalk Festival @ The Cleveland Museum of Art

So the kids are back in school.   Are you back in your routine?  You know the one….where you’re trying to convince your child that a turkey sandwich would fare better than a piece of fried chicken for lunch !  Or trying to explain to them why their peanut butter and jelly sandwich could kill a classmate.

With the changing of the leaves and fall fast approaching and s*** just around the corner… it may seem as if you need to prepare yourself for impending cabin fever that is soon to set in.

But don’t go out and stock up on bottled water, hot chocolate and marshmallows just yet, because there are still some great outdoor festivals that you and the fam can enjoy for free!!!!!!

One of my favorite festivals hosted by the Cleveland Museum of Art is  The 24th Annual Chalk Festival is being held this weekend.

Cleveland Metroparks….Day 4 @Carly’z Corner

Once again, the Cleveland Metroparks takes me by surprise!  Square dancin’!

Okay guys and gals, I need you to get those two left feet…. along with your dancing shoes over to the Rocky River Reservation for a Friday evening of square and line dancing.

For more than 30 years, free community square dances in Rocky River Reservation have delighted young and old. Come to dance, to watch or just to visit with friends as Caller Frank Koenig continues the tradition, leading circle, line and square dances. Koenig teaches each easy move before he calls the dance, so come prepared to learn and move. This old-fashioned activity provides fun and gentle exercise, rain or shine. Olmsted Historical Society volunteers open their refreshment stand so you can wet your whistle between dances. Every other Friday evening, beginning June 14. (June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26, August 9).
